Creatiss/Numtex : a contest of creators working with "digital" textiles
Parallel to NUMTEX 2004, the Festival Creatiss will proceed in Mulhouse from the 17 to March 21, 2004. Within the framework of a partnership between the two events, 6 young Creators are in competition for the Golden Creatiss/Numtex.
They have to created each one 7 models by using digital printed textiles which were provided to them by industrial godfathers:
  • Color Web Gmbh (Allemagne)
  • De fil en Aiguille (France)
  • Couleurs et Images (France)
  • Gravit (France)
  • Studio FX (France)
  • IFTH (France)

    The handing-over of the prices will take place during the evening of official reception of March 20 in the Salon de la Bourse in Mulhouse.
    In addition to the Golden trophee created by M.Pacotto, the contest is equipped with 9000 euros of price (Studio FX - FR, DHJ International - FR, Kimoto - CH, Coldenhoven - NL) and of a Cad-Cam software offered by Nedgraphics.

    The ISIS printer, developped by OSIRIS in Netherland could not be presented during ITMA 2003. This machine, presented for the first time during NUMTEX 2002 is today operating, with fantastic printing speed (up to 20 m / mn).

    Digital and automotiv October 2003
    Forum on the automotiv decoration, of course with textile digital printing
    The 9. of October 2003 will take place in Mulhouse (Musée de l'automobile) a forum called "plastic and textile, how to bring innovation in the inside automotiv decoration".
    Of course the textile digital printing will be present during this event.

    Big size scanner may 2003
    Jumbo scan
    The french company Lumière technologie propose a big size scanner (2 X 5 m or more) for digitalization of documents, espacially museographics archives: the jumboscan
    It is working under photoshop and allowed with its 12000 pixels bar to digitalize a picture in less than 18 seconds with a high precision.

    New production printer: Robustelli, Como May 2003

    In May 2003, did the company Robustelli (It) present in Como the issue of a partnership with Epson for the heads and For-tex for the inks in digital printing.

    The printer called "Monna Lisa" works with 24 piezo heads EJ micro piezo of the last Epson generation
    Printing speed: 20sqm/h in 720 DPI et 60sqm/h in 360 DPI.

    Commercialization of the Reggiani machine, working with a printing speed of 200sqm/h
    After then first presentation in NUMTEX 2002 and the demonstration show in Bergamo (Dec.2002), Reggiani is going ahead in the promotion of his production printer "DReam", which is able to work with a speed up to 200 sqm/h. The machine is equiped with piezo heads DOD from Aprion. The inks are develloped by CIBA.
    This machine was the star of the first "Ciba Conferencing" in Basle, the 24. and 25. of june 2003.

    Osiris expected to reach a printing speed of 20m/mn
    The company OSIRIS will present at Numtex 2002 the concept of a new machine which will be able to print at 20m/mn.
